Boiler-type steam humidifier (rapid-absorption type)

Isothermal humidification—no preheating of air required, and complete sterilization achieved.
Long service life, high humidification output, and an ultra-short installation distance that prevents wetting.
There is ample excess boiler steam available on site, and the humidity control accuracy requirement is no higher than ±3%. Therefore, boiler steam humidifiers can be given priority consideration.

If the relative humidity of the air is too low, the adhesion of the paint will decrease. On the other hand, if the relative humidity is too high, the glaze layer sprayed onto the product may become excessively diluted, forming tiny liquid bubbles. As these bubbles evaporate during drying, they can lead to poor spraying results and the formation of fine pits on the sprayed surface.

Product Description

If the relative humidity of the air is too low, the adhesion of the paint will deteriorate. On the other hand, if the relative humidity is too high, the glaze layer sprayed onto the product may become excessively diluted, forming tiny liquid bubbles. As these bubbles evaporate during the drying process, they can lead to poor spraying results and the formation of fine pits on the sprayed surface. We must listen carefully to and thoroughly understand our customers’ needs, then meet those needs and even exceed their expectations—this is “Ren.” We strive relentlessly to maintain the highest product quality and continuously introduce innovative new products, creating greater value for our customers, becoming the most innovative enterprise, and earning widespread acclaim as a supplier in the markets we serve—this is “Jie.”

Principle

Through a specially designed structure, high-pressure steam is converted into low-pressure steam—or even into steam at atmospheric pressure—and then separated from water vapor using specially engineered PPS resin nozzles. This approach eliminates the need for a long humidification absorption distance, thereby preventing dripping during the humidification process. After pressure reduction and steam-water separation, the resulting steam is evenly distributed throughout the air-conditioning unit or ductwork to achieve effective humidification.

Category

Boiler-type steam humidifiers are divided into two types: single-tube jet-type boiler steam humidifiers and rapid-absorption boiler steam humidifiers.

1. The single-tube jet-type boiler steam humidifier, also known as a dry steam humidifier, is suitable for small-scale humidification needs.

2. The rapid-absorption boiler steam humidifier comes in two models: the vertically distributed pipe type and the horizontally distributed pipe type.

(1) Vertical distribution duct type: All steam distribution ducts are arranged vertically; suitable for compact, narrow air handling units or ductwork.

(2) Horizontal distribution pipe type: All steam distribution pipes are arranged horizontally; suitable for low-and-wide air handling units or ductwork.

composition

1. All steam distribution pipes, distributors, fixed supports, and trap bends are made of 304 stainless steel tubing, which is robust, durable, and corrosion-resistant. The resin nozzles and couplers are all made of high-temperature and acid-alkali-resistant engineering plastics.

2. The boiler steam humidifier consists of two main components: a steam control valve and a steam distributor. When the steam distributor is used in conjunction with the steam control valve, they form a complete humidification system.

There are three types of steam control valves: manual valves, on-off solenoid valves, and electric proportional valves. Steam control valves are typically provided by the user, but they can also be supplied by the manufacturer.

3. Steam distributors are divided into two types: single-tube jet-type steam distributors and rapid-absorption steam distributors.

Steam distribution pipe distribution area: from 0.1 m 2 To 10m 2

A steam distributor is a device used for steam diffusion. It can also be used in combination with electrode-type steam humidifiers or electric-heating steam humidifiers.

Features

1. Long service life.

All steam distribution pipes, distributors, fixed supports, and trap bends are made of 304 stainless steel tubing, which is robust, durable, and corrosion-resistant. The resin nozzles and couplers are all made of high-temperature, acid- and alkali-resistant, non-polluting engineering plastics.

2. Ultra-short, non-wetting installation distance

(1) It can be installed approximately 70 centimeters away from the first obstruction in the downstream section, such as elbows, chilled/heated coils, fans, and so forth.

(2) Reduce space waste.

(3) By reducing the length of air handling units or ductwork, we can save on the costs of air handling unit and ductwork materials, as well as related installation labor costs and time consumption.

(4) Reduce heat loss. The longer the air conditioning unit or ductwork, the greater the corresponding heat-loss coefficient.

※ It is recommended not to install this device upstream of a HEPA high-efficiency filter, as doing so could severely impair the HEPA filter’s performance. If installation upstream of the HEPA filter is absolutely necessary, please consult the manufacturer or distributor for detailed instructions first.

3. Ultra-low steam distribution pressure

With a minimal steam pressure of approximately 100 mmAq (100 mm water column = 0.0009807 MPa), pure steam can be easily pushed into the various steam distribution pipes—simply the upward buoyancy pressure of the steam itself is sufficient to accomplish this.

There’s no need to install an additional steam jacket to improve steam quality.

The steam generated by electrode-type and electric-heating steam humidifiers is essentially pressure-free steam. Therefore, rapid-absorption-type steam distributors are often used in conjunction with either electrode-type or electric-heating steam humidifiers.

4. No dripping water

The meticulously designed steam distribution pipe and resin nozzle ensure no water dripping, save energy, and prevent bacterial growth.

The specially designed, extra-long nozzle, which draws only dry saturated steam from the middle section of the steam distribution pipe, eliminates the need for an additional steam jacket to prevent condensate from being sprayed out.

5. Non-metallic, plastic extended nozzle:

Molded in one piece from polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) resin, it offers the following advantages:

High temperature resistance: Its heat distortion temperature reaches as high as 270℃, and its UL continuous use temperature exceeds 220–240℃.

It maintains excellent mechanical strength even at high temperatures.

Flame Retardancy: Meets UL97V-0 standard.

Corrosion-resistant: Exhibits excellent chemical resistance and can withstand corrosion by various chemicals at temperatures below 220℃.

Nozzle CV: 0.12

6. Only for humidifying dry air:

Since the steam flows through the distribution pipe, the optimal dry steam is located in the middle section of the pipe, while the condensate flows downward along the inner wall of the pipe toward the discharge outlet for removal.

The carefully designed, extended plastic nozzle is precisely positioned just near the middle of the distribution pipe, ensuring that only the dry saturated steam in the middle section of the pipe is sprayed for humidification. This guarantees no dripping or condensation and provides an exceptionally short absorption distance.

7. Ultra-low air resistance

Since the spacing of the designed distributed circular tubes is relatively close to their overall dimensions, the steam they distribute is also highly concentrated, providing substantial humidification and extremely high efficiency. Moreover, because of their cylindrical shape, air resistance is significantly reduced.

8. Ultra-fast humidification, high efficiency.

Based on the above-mentioned advantages—such as an ultra-short, non-wetting installation distance, ultra-low steam pressure, no water dripping, and ultra-low air resistance—these features highlight the rapid, uniform, and highly effective steam distribution characteristics of the fast-absorbing steam humidifier.

9. Reduce significant installation-related costs.

Since the installation distance is much shorter due to the non-wet installation method, significant savings are achieved in costs for air handling units or ductwork materials, as well as in related labor costs and time consumption.

10. Modular design, easy installation, and convenient construction.

Simple and easy—no additional processing required. Sizes can be customized to meet specific requirements, and the units can be pre-assembled at the factory for direct installation on-site, simply by hanging them inside the air handling unit or ductwork. However, for extra-long or extra-wide designs, assembly must be carried out inside the air handling unit or ductwork.

Beautiful and elegant in appearance.

11. Condensate drainage

Drainage can be achieved using a water seal (trap) or a steam trap. When used in conjunction with low-pressure steam generators—such as electrode-type and electric-heating steam humidifiers—only a water seal should be employed for drainage. When high-pressure boiler steam is reduced in pressure for use in humidification systems, either a float-type steam trap or a water seal can be selected for drainage. For duct-type humidification applications, it is recommended to use a water-seal drainage system; however, care must be taken to ensure proper selection of the water seal height and the control valve port size.

12. Large steam humidification capacity,

Can be custom-made to meet individual customer needs.

Maximum humidification capacity: 176 kg/hr-M 2

Existing instances have verified that the maximum relative humidity on-site can reach 90% RH, and the partition panels remain free of condensation.

Maximum size: 6 m wide × 6 m high.

Maximum humidification capacity: 3 m × 3 m × 176 kg/hr-M 2 =1584 kg/hr.

13. Pipelines and fittings (optional accessories)

Steam hose.

Screw thread.

Flange: German standard PN16, Japanese standard JIS10K, or American standard ANSI 150#.
